A material older than humanity

Created by nature over millions of years. Each piece with its own story.

From wood to stone

Petrified wood begins as an ordinary tree. When the tree is buried under soil and sediment, it is protected from the decay that would otherwise slowly cause it to disappear.

Over millions of years, mineral-rich water penetrates the wood. Gradually, the organic material is replaced by minerals, while the wood's original structure is preserved.

Grains, growth rings, and small structures that were once part of a living tree remain in the stone. The result is a material that at once tells the story of the tree it once was – and the millions of years that have passed since.

The story begins

In the forests that covered parts of present-day Indonesia grew the trees that millions of years later would become petrified wood.

From wood to stone

Buried under soil and sediment, mineral-rich water penetrates the wood. Slowly, the organic material is replaced by minerals while the wood's structure is preserved.

Found and processed

Petrified wood is found in the ground and along riverbeds in Indonesia. Each piece is selected and processed with respect for the shapes and structures that nature has already created.

A story that continues

After millions of years, the material finds a new place. As a piece of nature in the home, where grains, colors, and shapes make each individual object completely its own.

Nature does not repeat itself

No two pieces are alike

Colors, veins, and textures vary from piece to piece, each telling its own part of the wood's story. The minerals that have replaced the organic material over millions of years help shape the shades and patterns we see today.

Some pieces are light and serene, while others are dark and full of contrast. What they all have in common is that their texture is not designed—it is created by nature.

Processed in Indonesia

Nature creates. Hands refine.

Petrified wood is stone and requires special tools to work. The raw pieces are first cut into the desired shape and then undergo several steps of sanding and polishing.

The work takes place at a permanent workshop in Indonesia, where each piece is worked individually based on the material's natural structure, colors, and shape.

The goal is not to make the pieces uniform, but to highlight what nature has already created.

A piece of nature in the home

Created over millions of years. Part of everyday life today.

Petrified wood has a special presence. It feels cool like stone, has a natural weight and a surface where the wood's original structure can still be seen and felt.

In the home, the material creates a calm contrast between the organic and the raw. A material shaped by nature over millions of years – now as part of everyday life.

A material like no other

5–20 million years

The material has been formed through millions of years of natural processes.

Stone with wood grain

The wood's grain, textures, and growth patterns are preserved, even though the material is now stone.

Each piece is unique

Colors, shapes, and patterns vary naturally. Therefore, no two pieces are ever completely identical.

Built to last

Petrified wood is a hard and heavy natural material that can be part of your home for many years.
